About the event

Neal Harrison, resident of San Angelo for 11 years, a 5th generation Texan, 2nd generation West Texan.  Born - Midland, Texas, Raised, farming community of Midkiff, Texas.   I have been a collector of WW2 artifacts for over 50 years. It started with my dad’s things (he was a  B24 and B29 pilot) Collection has grown over the years to taking up 1 full room in my home 25-year  veteran of the CAF (Commemorative Air Force). I was a flight and maintenance crew member of "FIFI"  the B29 and "Diamond Lil " the B24 and have performed maintenance on several of the CAF owned  aircraft.   The purpose of the Concho Valley Aviation Museum is to perpetuate the memory and legacy of the  men and women who passed through pilot training and the bombardier school here in San Angelo at  Mathis field and Goodfellow field. Also, to help keep the memories of John Goodfellow, Jack and Mark  Mathis and the crew of ABBOTT 27 the B36, that crashed south of Sterling City in 1957.  Our goal is to showcase our personal collections and other artifacts along with flying examples of  the aircraft that served here so that the entire Concho Valley can enjoy. I look forward to sharing more  information with the CVRW.
